"It was a sad day for members of the campus and local Catholic community as holy water is sprinkled over the casket of Fr Roger Gillis S.J., known as "Father Rog," at his funeral Dec 8, 2010 at St. Joseph's Church. Many came to pay respects and share memories about the priest they cared deeply for. Father Rog arrived on campus in 1987 and during his time he positively influenced many lives in his role as a teacher, mentor, student advisor and friend. The outpouring affection for this man was clear as he was honored at his funeral as a Jesuit brother."
